Virginia (Polly) Goulding Clark, born October 29, 1922 in Seattle, passed on August 13, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Ernest Dunbar Clark of Massachusetts and Mary Virginia Kibler Clark of Virginia. Polly attended the private schools of Helen Bush and St. Nicolas in Seattle. She graduated from Marlborough School in Los Angeles in 1939; attended Stanford University earning a BA in Social Sciences in 1943; attended Burnby Art School in Seattle 1949-1950. Virginia (Polly) Goulding Clark, born October 29, 1922 in Seattle, passed on August 13, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Ernest Dunbar Clark of Massachusetts and Mary Virginia Kibler Clark of Virginia. Polly attended the private schools of Helen Bush and St. Nicolas in Seattle. She graduated from Marlborough School in Los Angeles in 1939; attended Stanford University earning a BA in Social Sciences in 1943; attended Burnby Art School in Seattle 1949-1950. She worked for the University of Washington for non-academic personnel, 1950-1954. Polly held various office positions 1955-1972 in Seattle. From 1973-1985 she was supervisor of the University of Washington Visitors Information Center and Speakers Bureau, retiring in 1985. While working Polly continued as a Sunday artist. In retirement she focused on her paintings, showing them both publicly and privately. She did volunteer work at different times for the American Red Cross, Seattle Art Museum, KCTS Channel 9, Discovery Park Visitors Center and the Theosophical Lending Library. She has been a member of the Theosophical Society in Seattle since 1968. Many of her paintings are on display at the Quest Bookshop of the Theosophical Society. Polly has been a member of the Seattle Photographic Society since 1979.
